Brooklyn NY’s ROTTEN BASTARD RECORDS have a pair of new releases starting first with Flatbush’s own MAD MULLIGANS with the 6 song EP titled “Action Men”. This release came out on January 1st and is the follow up to their “Who Are The Mad Mulligans” debut that came out in December of 2020. Mad Mulligans’ members are veterans of the NYC punk and hardcore scene playing traditional punk/Oi! in the style of Blitz, The Business and Sham 69. You can find their latest online through You Tube or Spotify with CD versions available through the Rotten Bastard website.
Rotten Bastard is also releasing the latest from Brooklyn’s SKISM titled “Capitol Lies”. This release is due out on CD on January 28th but you can already stream or download it via the Skism Bandcamp page. Although Skism plays old-school punk with hardcore and Oi! influences this release does have some surprises with a punked up cover of “Runaround Sue” by Dion And The Belmonts as well as the track “You” which shows a more rockabilly feel.
